This course will teach you

  • #1. What are the business challenges for retailers in the wake of the crisis?  

    ● Retailers are very much impacted by the crisis we are going through, and differently depending on whether they are specialised or not.
    ● We will set the context based on a summary of interviews conducted with various retail players in the weeks leading up to the recovery.
  • #2. What are the main principles of data approaches to crisis recovery?

    ● The crisis we are going through is synonymous with a rupture in customer behaviour.
    ● Predictive methods exploiting machine-learning algorithms are usually widespread in data marketing.
    ● We will see which approaches to use when the algorithms no longer have learning data.
  • #3. Can your existing data tools help you in this context?

    ● Many brands have models for forecasting sales, allocating media investments...
    ● We will discuss the exploitation of these data assets when commercial activities are restarted.
  • #4. What actions should be prioritized? 

    ● Which sales outlets should I re-open first? ● Do I need to maintain any services I have put in place during the period? ● On which product categories do my sales restart fastest? ● We will suggest for a number of very operational questions that you ask yourself the relevant data sources and analyses to be carried out
